Mr Executive Director,

Herewith I request of you to give your permission for me to have paid leave as from 31-May-2003 till 30-June-2003, as I am going to sit a serious examination by the end of June and during the recent, after I alerted the authorities about malpractice in the HD unit, the atmosphere of tension because of the complicated interpersonal relations in the team strongly distresses me and I can neither perform my working duties nor prepare for my examination.

The examination I mention above is my annual examination of practical English in Bishop Konstantin Preslavski University of Shumen where I am doing distant studies of English Language and Literature, Student’s # 203. This is the heaviest examination in our major which consists of two parts – written and oral – conducted in two or three consecutive days in the month of June at the end of every academic year. This year, I am going to finish my fourth year, out of total five years, of studies for bachelor’s degree. Up to this year I have not used a single day off for taking my examinations. Moreover, I have not had any study leave for the time of my intramural classes with the only exception of the first semester of my first academic year although, whenever I have requested in writing of you to be allowed such leave, you have always allowed me.

In the schedule of planned annual paid leaves in our unit, I have applied for a paid leave from the end of August to the middle of September 2003: the time of my next intramural classes but the circumstances so suddenly having changed urge me to ask for my paid leave now, in the month of May.

I enclose a copy of your permission for study leave outgoing # AD – 769 of 8-Aug-2002 under art. 169 and 171 of the Labor Code.
